THE MYSTERY OF THE CROSS!!!
Sometime ago, I asked myself why Jesus Christ died at a tender age? This is because the Bible says he who lives long is being blessed by the Lord; does it mean Jesus was not blessed?
Each of us has a mission to accomplish on this earth. So a time came when I realized that Jesus finished his mission on this earth and needed to go back.
Job 14:7-9, tells us that there is hope for a tree even if it is cut down, it will sprout again.
Job used this quotation to support the death of Jesus Christ that; there is hope even if Christ dies, for he will rise again as said in vs. 7 and its true he resurrected which has now given us a foundation to worship the Lord as a living God
. (7 For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. 8 Though the roots thereof wax old in the earth, and the stocks thereof die in the ground; 9 Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant)
The Mystery of the cross is that; Jesus Christ came to die on the cross for you and me and rose again, therefore if we die, some day to come we will also resurrect!!!
There are some things we shouldn’t do if we do not understand, when you read Mark 8 31-33, Peter wanted to stop Jesus from going to the cross to save us. It wasn’t that he doesn’t want Christ to save us but to prevent Christ from going to suffer a lot. Let’s read it
31 and he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. 32 And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him. 33 But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that are of God, but the things that are of men.)
No suffering, No Crown!!! (Micah 7:8 & John 11:35). While we were sinners, yet Christ died for us. If you want to follow me, deny yourself and take up my cross (Christ).
